Christains and masturbation

Elianna. Age: 28.

Jump to navigation. The Bible does not discuss masturbation at all. This seems a little odd since it is such a strong and prevalent human event. And, given that Leviticus has so much to say about sexuality, one would think it natural that the subject would be covered.

Religious views on masturbation

Among the world's religions, views on masturbation vary widely. Some religions view it as a spiritually detrimental practice, some see it as not spiritually detrimental and others take a situational view. Among these latter religions, some view masturbation as allowable if used as a means towards sexual self-controlor as part of healthy self-exploration, but disallow it if it is done with wrong motives or as an addiction.

Is Masturbation Sin?

Sin is often the result of lust or wrong selfish desire. This fact forms the primary basis of answering this question. Jesus tells us in Matthew Matthew But I say to you, That whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

I have to admit, it helps me cope with sexual frustration. They say that 99 per cent of men masturbate — and the rest are lying! Research shows that 89 per cent of women have masturbated, and over half do it regularly.
